IRPC together with the customers develops isolation chamber covers maintained under negative pressure, 3 times cheaper than imports and signs MOU for a laboratory to test the equipment, raising the product standard.
IRPC together with Asia Polysacks and the Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University, developed film covers for isolation chamber maintained under negative pressure for patient transport which are 3 times cheaper than the prototype and can replace the imported ones. The covers protect the medical professionals from Covid-19 infection and are ready to be handed over to Vajira Hospital.
Mr. Noppadol Pinsupa, President of IRPC Public Company Limited or IRPC said, “The company has worked together with Asia Polysacks Company Limited or Asia Polysacks as IRPC’s major customer who is a major plastic sack producer in Thailand and the Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University. We developed the film covers for isolation chamber maintained under negative pressure for the portable isolation bed for patient transport. We use plastic sacks made from /RPC’s POLIMAXX special polymer grade whose the properties include high stiffness and strength. The film covers are handed over to Vajira Hospital to protect the medical professionals and people from Covid-19 infection.”
The film covers produced by Asia Polysacks are 3 times cheaper than the prototype and can replace the imported product. It is for single use to save time to clean the products especially when there are emergency cases. Moreover, it increases the safety and the protection for the medical professionals, reducing the risk of Covid-19 infection.
In addition, IRPC supports the medical professionals in fighting with Covid-19 by providing the personal protective equipment or PPE. This was attributed to the collaboration among IRPC, the Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University, IRPC’s customer as a spunbond producer and another IRPC’s customer as a lamina producer. The collaboration led to impermeable PPE suits with the same quality as imported ones. Five thousand PPE suits were handed over to Vajira Hospital. Besides, IRPC signed the MOU with the Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University to build a laboratory to test the quality of medical equipment including PPE suits and surgical masks. The objective was to build a body of knowledge and leverage the research in Thailand while encouraging the domestic production instead of imports.
IRPC put the importance on medical products which are mostly imported and expensive. Therefore, we have a special team for medical application development. The team is more flexible and ready for sudden changes in each circumstance especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. As such, IRPC can respond to medical need with variable products which achieve the international standards approved by the center certified laboratory. The products are widely accepted and can penetrate the domestic and international markets.
